KUCHING: Emart Batu Kawa will be holding its first ever Emart Baby Fair from 17 to 26 March, 2017.
The opening ceremony, which will take place on 18 March, will be officiated by Minister of Local Government, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.
The organising committee of the fair paid a courtesy call on Sim at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.
“This is a family-oriented event, and I encourage the public to come and have an enjoyable time with their families,” said Sim.
Emart Baby Fair 2017 is organised by Emart Batu Kawa, The Champion and Saberkas, Kota Samarahan Branch.
The other partners for the event include Timberland Medical Centre Sarawak, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA), Borneo Talk, Haus KCH, Momentum KCH and many others.
Activities lined up for the fair include cultural music demonstrations and a Kids Zone for children below the age of 6.
Organising chairman, John Paul Prashanth Davis said there would be promotional sales of baby products during the 10-day event.
“Emart Baby Fair will feature free sessions by local doctors who share the vision of upholding the importance of family wellbeing and the topics to be highlighted include prenatal and postpartum care, pregnancy stages, children’s oral hygiene and child psychology,” he said.
An animal petting zone will also be set up by SSPCA.
