Western Digital and Micron have announced massive new 1-terabyte micro SD cards, doubling the current limit of 512 GB.
The announcement came at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where Samsung also happens to be showing off phones with up to 1 TB of built-in memory, making it possible to have a theoretical total of 2 TB of storage space in one phone.
The new 1 TB cards are available for pre-order now, and will go on sale in April at a price of US$449. A 512 GB model from the same new range will cost US$199. – dpa
