KUCHING: The first two East Malaysia customers of Toyota C-HR received their cars at Vivacity Megamall here yesterday. The Toyota CH-R is now available for public viewing at the roadshow held at the mall on April 13-15 from 10am until 10pm. Apart from Toyota CH-R, the Toyota Hilux 2.8 L-Edition and Vios 1.5GX are also on display at the roadshow. The Toyota CH-R and Toyota Hilux 2.8 L-Edition are available for test drive by the public from 10.00am until 6.00pm on Saturday and 10.00am until 6.00pm on Sunday.

For the Malaysian market, the CHR is introduced with one variant, a 1.8-litre petrol engine with 7-speed Sequential Shiftmatic CVT. Its safety features include ABS as standard with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC) as well as Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and a Blind Spot Monitoring system (BSM).

The C-HR is also equipped with an Electric Parking Brake and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards while moving on a steep slope. The interior design concept is a departure from the conventional approaches and combines hightech functionality with a fashionable style. The driver-oriented area incorporates innovative details and intuitive technology with sharp and clear Optitron meters and a 4.2-inch Colour Multi Information Display (MID) that keeps the driver informed of the vehicle’s operation.

For enthusiast drivers, there’s also a G-monitor which shows the G-force exerted by the vehicle during cornering, acceleration or deceleration.

The on the road selling price including GST without insurance for individual private is RM148,281.20 while for company private, it is RM148,281.20. For the Hilux 2.8 L-Edition, the on the road selling price without insurance is RM135,832.70 and for 2.4 L-Edition it is RM121,590.60 and there is also the April Promotion for this model, valued at up to RM4,485. As for Vios 1.5GX, the April Promotion is valued at up to RM9,225 inclusive of cash rebate, free two years service package and accessories.
