BETONG: Five individuals were injured in a two-vehicle collision at Simpang Layar, Jalan Pan Borneo yesterday (Sept 5).
The accident, which happened around 4.50 pm, involved a Perodua Axia with four persons inside and the driver of a Perodua Aruz.
A spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Betong station were deployed to the scene after they received a distress call at 4.53 pm.
On arrival, the team found one of the victims was still inside the Axia and wasted no time to extricate him.
The other victims were rescued by the public. They were taken to Betong Hospital for treatment.
Their identities and the extent of their injuries are not known.
