KUCHING: Sarawak recorded five new Covid-19 deaths today (June 26), bringing the state’s Covid-19 death toll to 401.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, said the 397th death was that of a 67-year-old local man from the Lubok Antu District.
The man, who passed away in the Sarawak General Hospital, was confirmed Covid-19 positive on June 25. He suffered from high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia.
Meanwhile, the 398th death was that of an 85-year-old local man originally from Kanowit District
Admitted to the Sibu Hospital, the man was confirmed Covid-19 positive on June 8. He had diabetes, high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia.
The SDMC said the 399th death was that of a 72-year-old local woman from the Sibu district who died in the Sibu Hospital.
Confirmed as positive for Covid-19 on June 13, she had high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia.
The SDMC said the 400th death was that of a 77-year-old local man originally from the Kanowit district, who died in the Sibu Hospital.
He was confirmed positive on June 19 and had high blood pressure, heart disease, dyslipidaemia and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
The committee added the 401st death was that of a 57-year-old local man originally from the Sibu district. His body was brought to the Sibu Hospital.
He was confirmed positive on June 18 and had high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.
