BINTULU: The moment of truth has arrived for the five fighters competing in the combat muay thai finals.

Sarawak Muay Thai Association president Jumaat Ibrahim said having five fighters in the finals reflects the fighter’s strong confidence.

“It would be a significant day for the five Muay Thai athletes who will be competing in the finals.

“Therefore, I ask for the prayers and everyone in Sarawak to support the fighters,” he told reporters at Naim Street Paragon Mall on Monday (Aug 19).

Adding further, Jumaat hopes that Sarawak will not leave empty-handed and God willing will secure more gold medals.

He said the young fighters have trained to the highest level and it will be up to them to ensure victory.

“The fighters’ places in the finals highlight the talent among young Sarawakians who are excelling in the sport.

“Let us all hope and pray for their success, as they continue to promote muay thai in Malaysia Games (SUKMA) and achieve outstanding results,” he said.
