KUCHING: The Sarawak Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions Education Society recently donated RM4.84 million to five secondary schools across the three divisions.
The five schools were Chung Hua Middle Schools No. 1, 3, 4, Serian Public Secondary School and Batu Kawa Min Lit Secondary School.
The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) also donated RM2,5 million through the society, making the total donations to the five schools RM7.34 million.
The society thanked its donors and public for the continuous trust and support.
Meanwhile, the new executive members of the society for the 2023-2026 term are as follows: Chairman: Datuk Wee Kok Tiong; Deputy chairman: Datuk Yii Chi Hau; Vice chairman: Kapitan Chai Yong Liang; Secretary: Datuk Richard Wee Liang Chiat; Assistant secretary: Chiew Boon Shen; Treasurer: Ng Khing Huat; Assistant treasurer: Lai Chau Liong; Members: Datuk Wong Tiong Hock, Datuk Tan Jit Kee, Liew Kui Moon, Ngu Choo Kiong, Lim Swee Chiaw, Chai Bui Tah and Tan Swee Kwang
