KUCHING: Five-year-old Ainul Mardhiah Hirizuan won the lucky draw grand prize of a Perodua Aruz during the opening ceremony of the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma XXI) at Sarawak Stadium on Saturday night.

It was a night to remember for the young winner when her name was flashed on the stadium’s giant screen, much to the delight of approximately 40,000 spectators.

A total of 11 other individuals were announced as winners of various prizes during the lucky draw.

Farid Nazmi Nuwen took home a 16-inch MacBook Pro, while Hanif Yamani Abdul Ra’afup won an Ebixon Bold E-bike.

Other winners included Haykal Haqimie Amin, who won an iPad Pro 13-inch, Ten Kim Siang, who bagged an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and Fauziah Sepawi, who received a Samsung Galaxy S24.

Additional winners included Nur Fatin Najwa Ali, who won a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Muhammad Hafizan Razi with an Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Muhammad Saffuan Abdul Razak, who walked away with an HP Laptop 15.

Grace Valentina Robert received a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic BT, while Mohamad Mahyan Su’ud and Nur Izzuddin Syamim Mohd Bahrin won an Honor x8B and a Samsung Galaxy Fit3, respectively.

The prizegiving ceremony was officiated by Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, at the Main Media Centre here.

Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Operations) and Sukma 2024 Chief Executive Officer Datu Hii Chang Kee, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development Morshidi Fredrick.
