KUCHING: A 35-year-old man was arrested after he scolded the police and showed his private parts to them when they tried to check him.
The man was spotted acting suspiciously near a 24-hour-convenience store in a recreation centre here.
Police asked for his identity card but he became aggressive. He scolded the police and showed his private parts to them.
After that he ran towards his vehicle which was parked nearby in an apparent attempt to escape.
Police stopped him, switched off his car and photographed him acting aggressively.
The man was detained under Section 186 (for preventing an officer from discharging his duty) and Section 509 (for behaving aggressively) of the Penal Code.
Kuching police chief ACP Ng Ah Lek confirmed the arrest and urged members of the public to call 082-244444 or the nearest police station if they saw anyone behaving suspiciously.
