MUKAH: Flood relief aid was distributed to residents in Bukit Ingkerbai and Lubuk Bemban in Tellian constituency cut off by floods areas.
Staff of the Tellian Community Service Centre and PBB Tellian Youth led by assistant information chief Edwin Jocklin Buck visited 19 longhouses in the Bukit Ingkerbai and Lubok Bemban to hand over the aid.
The agencies here which distributed the aid are APM, Rela, PDRM, District Office and JKR.
Lubok Bemban Tuai Rumah George Takin expressed his gratitude to all parties for the assisatnce.
He said the residents of Bukit Ingkerbai and Lubuk Bemban were grateful to have received the attention of Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine and government agencies.
He said the floods ravaged several low-lying areas in the two areas.
“We saved most of our crops and pets and moved to higher ground.
“Once again, residents of the 19 longhouses express their appreciation and thanks to all parties involved in distributing the relief aid,” he added.
