MUKAH: Main access road to SK Bukit Inkerbai and SK Lubuk Bemban, Jalan Tajam was flooded due to continuous rains over the past few days.
Because of that, both schools were forced to close as flood water was reaching to chest level of an average man and the paths to the schools were also flooded as of press time yesterday.
A female teacher Hazwani, 25, said her school was closed starting from Sunday as the flood water started to rise.
However, some places can be accessed by lorry, but still needing a boat as a way to exit from that place.
“I hope the flood will recede by this Friday and the school can be accessed as usual,” she added.
Meanwhile, another place that was affected yesterday was Kampung Penakub which has been flooded for the last five days.
Satuan Kecil road was yesterday also reported as having many potholes caused by heavy downpours. These potholes are potentially damaging to motorists and other road users.
