SELANGAU: A wide area in and around Rumah James Medan Nanga Tanyit, Batang Oya was under two to three feet of water after heavy rain yesterday.
The Sibu Civil Defence Force (APM Sibu) started monitoring the area at 10.30am under cloudy skies.
While the longhouse stands high above the water, its surrounding was under water that however was not growing any higher by about 11.15am.
The secretariat of the Selangau Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) is still monitoring the situation.
