BINTULU: A total of 171 pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Nyalau were unable to attend their school session as the access road to the school was flooded this morning.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, Major Ismail Mahedin from the state Civil Defence Force said the water level had been slowly rising since yesterday affecting headmaster and administrative staff quarters as well as the school administration and academic blocks.

“According to a report from the state Education Department, classes have been suspended but teachers and administrative staff are still at the school,” he said in a statement here.
