Floods still bad, five schools closed

KUCHING: Five schools in the state affected by floods were closed yesterday. According to State Disaster Management Committee in a press statement yesterday, the five schools were Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Long Lenei and SK Penghulu Baya Mallang in Baram, SK Tanjong and SK Kuala Awang in Limbang and SK Klid/ Plajau in Dalat.

The closed schools involved a total of 335 students, 60 teachers and 25 non academic staffs. None of the schools are turned into a Temporary Transfer Centre (PPS).
