MIRI: The Lopeng Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported that floodwaters at Rumah Saling Abong had receded on May 12 (Thursday).
According to a statement, patrols by Bomba along Sungai Selulit Lapok Baram were conducted due to the recent flooding that occurred on Monday (May 9).
“Continuous rain on May 9 and 10 resulted in floodwaters measuring one feet high that entered residential houses, but everything was under control and no evacuation was required because the water had receded completely,” a statement said.
The report added that only two houses were affected by floodwaters nearby the longhouse.
