SIBU: The State Disaster Management Committee remains cautious when it comes to 10 persons sharing a table during the current recovery movement control order (RMCO) period.
Thus, chairman of Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Clarence Ting said ‘no’ when he was asked whether the decision made by the federal government applied to Sarawak.
“Please continue to follow the SOPs and ensure safety for the staff and customers.
“Just when you think it is safe, reports of new clusters are appearing in Selangor. If we let our guards down, it may happen in Sibu.
“For those who have just returned from Kuala Lumpur, for Sibu’s sake, follow the SOPs and stay at home for the time being,” he said.
