MUKAH: Some 22 households, whose family members were being quarantined, received food aid from Tellian State constituency Service Centre here today.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo said the aid was chanelled through three local organisations — Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth Tellian branch, Saberkas Tellian branch, and Mukah Parliament Youth Organisation (PBPM).
He added that the contribution was handed over to PBB Youth Tellian deputy chief Royston Valentine, who is also PBPM chairman.
“It is hoped that the food aid will help lessen the burden of the affected families,” he said at the simple handover ceremony at the service centre today.
Sarawak Youth Member of Parliament Malaysia, Muhd Tarmizi Karnain and Tellian constituency special officer, Felix Pieng also attended the event.
