KUCHING: Naim Group of Companies will be distributing food aid to construction workers and security guards throughout Kuching, Bintulu and Miri as part of it ‘Naim Cares Food Aid’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

The programme was made possible by the Group’s CSR donation and a financial contribution of over RM4,000 from Naim’s employees.

More than 200 construction workers and security guards, both locals and foreigners, will be given food baskets. The food items consist of rice, cooking oil, canned food and eggs.

Naim Corporate Services head Hasmiah Anthony Hasbi said the company has always embraced the spirit of giving by assisting community members in need.

“Rather than providing a one-time food aid, we have decided to distribute the aid over a period of time, which we believe will be more meaningful,” she said in a statement today (July 21).

“We would also like to thank our employees for their generosity. Every little bit helps, and that is the spirit of Naim.”
