KUCHING: Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Willie Mongin said essential food items worth RM500,000 would be distributed to needy families in his Puncak Borneo constituency.
He said his service centre has received a total of 8,637 applications for food assistance.
Willie, who is member of parliament for Puncak Borneo, said the service centre would deliver the packed food items through the village heads or their representatives.
He thanked all the district officers, village heads, kapitans, community leaders and all those who have worked together to assist in the relief mission.
