KUCHING: A total of 1,500 food packages were distributed to 21 Malaysian Armed Force (MAF) veteran associations and organisations in Sarawak on Thursday.

Sarawak Department of Veteran Affairs (JHEV) director Major Pahot Joll said the food assistance which is received through the Defence Ministry (Mindef) Prihatin and Bantu-Bantu Malaysia programme will be distributed to veterans and veterans’ widow who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and in need of assistance.

He further added that the food boxes were flown to Kuching using the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) Log Comm and delivered to the Sarawak JHEV MAF office recently.
