MIRI: A Foodpanda delivery rider died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed onto a road divider at KM3, Jalan Miri-Bintulu on Saturday night (March 27).
The incident occurred around 7pm near a petrol station along the road.
According to Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the deceased identified as 30-year-old Joel Liun Johnny was pronounced dead at Miri Hospital at 8.55pm.
Prior to the fatal crash, the deceased was heading towards airport area from the city centre.
It is believed that the deceased lost control of his motorcycle and rammed the road divider.
He was rushed to Miri Hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
