MUKAH: The construction of the Medan Selera Metading here is expected to be completed on Nov 13 this year.
The project, which is under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government led by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, is ongoing after being temporarily stopped after the movement control order (MCO) was enforced due to Covid-19.
The project is under the supervision of the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) and will house about 12 food stalls.
With the establishment of the Medan Selera Metading, it is a testament to the development for the well-being and socio-economic shift of the people by the GPS government.
The people in Balingian constituency had expressed their appreciation to the chief minister and Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi for implementing the project.
