SARATOK: Encouragement of sports activities such as football is not limited to promoting physical health but also includes unearthing new talents for development.
Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri suggested that the football development programme should begin at the grassroots level.
“In fact, it should be implemented systematically and holistically,” Mohamad said when officiating the closing ceremony of football competition at SK Lubok Nibong here recently.
His text of speech was read by Saratok District Council (SDC) Councilor Majid Amit.
Meanwhile the school headmaster Mohamad@Zaini Mahrid expressed gratitude for Mohamad’s contributions to the event’s success.
The competition saw 10 teams participate, with the Perpat City team claiming victory. They secured the championship by defeating Perpat Legacy with a 2-0 score in the final match.
