BAU: Police arrested an Indonesian man for possessing a stolen motorcycle last Friday (Aug 16).
The 25-year-old was stopped by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) for inspections after he was spotted riding at an oil palm plantation route.
Bau police chief DSP Jawai Francis Kempas, when contacted, said that the arrest was made around 8.40am along Jalan Ngori, Kampung Sibuluh.
“Checks found that the motorcycle that the suspect was riding had been reported missing in Kuching.
“Following that, the suspect was taken into custody and the motorcycle was recovered as evidence,” she said.
Aside from that, CID officers also seized a ‘T’ shaped metal and keys that were modified as knives from the suspect.
The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code.
