KUCHING: A fr iendly match between veteran players of Sambir Bistari Football Club and former Sarawak players who was previously scheduled to take place on January 21 was postponed to a new date.
Match Coordinator, Burhaniza Abu Bakar, said the new date for the match was set on February 24 at Kampung Sambir Football Field, Asajaya.
“The changes to the date of the friendly match on February 24 are the same,” said Burhaniza when commenting on the matter recently. Burhaniza said the match will start at 4.00pm and will be participate by about 30 players who have represented the Sarawak squad in different years.
“A total of 30 former players who once represented Sarawak will once again participate in the match,” he said.
Other players are Afandi Jol, Affendi Julaihi, Ramos Sari, Ramles Sari, Ali Sapiee, Khairol Jamel, Razak Ismail, Zaidel Sakup, Bobby Pian, Abu Bakar Amran, Pengiran Bala, Ibrahim Mantali, Safri Amit, Irwandi Jampaka, Zakarito Gobil, Nizam Mahmud, Mahathir Mohamad, Hassan Jahid, Rosli Akup, Lois Jakai, Jackson Maxwell, Ismawi Jamali, Jafari Ali and many more. – By Faizal Bujang
