LUNDU: Four undocumented foreign nationals attempting to enter Malaysia were successfully apprehended by the Malaysian Army (TDM) in the Ops Awas/Keris Parang Sector here on May 2.
They were detained during patrols conducted by a Sub-Unit of the First Infantry Division Formation, alongside members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, in the Biawak security area at 11.45 am.
“While on patrol, military personnel observed three men and one woman moving towards Malaysia from the Indonesian border,” according to a statement issued yesterday.
Upon inspection, the four individuals, aged between 26 and 50, were found to be devoid of any prohibited or hazardous items.
The statement further disclosed that the total estimated value of the inspected items, encompassing cash, mobile phones, wallets, and clothing bags, stood at RM5,150.
Subsequently, they were escorted to the national border for deportation, with a police report lodged at the Lundu Police Station to ensure compliance with deportation protocols.
