MIRI: Four men, including two Indonesians, have been arrested following several drug raids held on Thursday.
The raids were conducted by the Miri Narcotics Crime Investigation division.
The four detained were aged between their late 20s and 30s. They are currently under police custody at Miri central police station for questioning until Monday.
The case is being framed under Section 12 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug possession. According to sources, all suspects were picked up during three separate raids. The first raid was in Batu Niah where two Indonesian men were rounded up at 6am.
Around 11am that same day, the same team detained a local man in Taman Tunku while the fourth suspect was found nearby an entertainment outlet in Pelita Commercial centre in the afternoon.
