LUNDU: The Sarawak Immigration Department apprehended four individuals at two separate locations in Biawak on Thursday for attempting to cross the border without proper documentation during the Ops Serkap.

According to reports, among these individuals were both foreign nationals and Malaysian citizens. Subsequently, the individuals were then taken into custody for further investigation.

“The case is currently under investigation in accordance with Section 26A of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 (Act 670), as well as Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63,” it stated.

Members of the public who have information about migrant smuggling or suspect the presence of undocumented foreign nationals are encouraged to report such information to the nearest Immigration Enforcement office.
