SIBU: Four men sustained injuries but somehow cheated death when the car they were in skidded and crashed along Jalan Ling Kai Cheng yesterday.
The accident which occurred near Kampung Bahagia Jaya, happened around 7.35 pm.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Sungai Merah station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distressed call.
Upon arrival, they confirmed the accident had occurred and found the victims were trapped in their seats.
First aid and installation of cervical collars were administered to the injured victims before extrication works were carried out.
The victims who sustained broken legs, broken hands, and head and body injuries, were later taken to Sibu Hospital for further treatment.
After ensuring the situation was safe, the team wrapped up the operation and then returned to their station.
