KUCHING: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap has joined the ceremonies marking the completion of four Sarawak government Rural Transformation Projects, totalling RM240,000, overseen by the Kuching South City Council (MBKS).
The four people-centric projects were all completed on schedule namely – upgrading Green Heights Recreation Park at a cost of RM50,000; upgrading Borneo Garden Recreation Park (RM50,000); Lorong Stampin Tengah 12 Recreation Park (RM40,000); and upgrading of SK Satria Jaya school hall for the sum of RM100,000.
“I thank the MBKS as the implementing and supervising government agency, mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and his officers for doing an excellent job in monitoring and supervising the upgrading works of the contractors for the four projects from start to their completion on schedule and with quality finishing,” Yap said in a statement today.
Yap hoped that the completed upgrading works at the three recreation parks would provide a more conducive venue for the local residents to congregate, organise social activities and events.
“The upgraded school hall at SK Satria Jaya, BDC is now more conducive for the students and teachers to organise more extra-curricular activities which is essential to complement and enhance the overall learning process,” he said.
Additionally, Yap continues to receive numerous requests for assistance from the public to repair and upgrade unsatisfactory facilities in his constituency.
He also reiterated his unwavering commitment to ensure that all such public requests would be looked into and resolved systematically using his RTP funding allocation based on priority and urgency.
