BINTULU: The University Community Transformation Centre (UCTC) and the Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) have recently implemented their four main projects at Rumah Jungan Mitoh with great success.
In a Facebook post, UPMKB pointed out that four projects – fertigation agriculture, education and personality, entrepreneurship, and child development – had been implemented for the past six months, beginning in July of this year.
“A total of four projects have been implemented with funds amounting to RM31,000 under the Knowledge Transfer Grant Scheme (KTGS).
“Beginning from July to December 2022, this programme has received a positive and encouraging response from the community in Rumah Jungan,” he said.
In an effort to promote UPM’s expertise and simultaneously enhance the university’s reputation in the field of agriculture and agricultural products, this programme aims to share information with the neighbourhood.
For the record, Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing who is also Bintulu Member of Parliament has contributed RM100,000 for the implementation of the programme for the years 2023 and 2024.
