KUCHING: Sarawak recorded four new Covid-19 deaths today (June 12), bringing the state’s death toll to 346.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the 343rd death was that of an 84-year-old local woman from Kapit.
She passed away at the Kapit Hospital. She tested positive on June 8 and had thyroid cancer.
Meanwhile, the 344th death was that of a 71-year-old local woman from Kapit.
The committee stated in its Covid-19 daily update that the woman tested positive on June 10.
She died at the Kapit Hospital and had high blood pressure, diabetes and dyslipidemia.
The 345th death was that of a 73-year-old man from Sibu who died at the Sibu Hospital.
He tested positive on June 10 and had high blood pressure, dyslipidemia and gout.
Meanwhile, the 346th death was that of a 66-year-old local man from Meradong who died at the Sarikei Hospital.
The committee added that he tested positive on May 31 and had high blood pressure, and diabetes.
