KUCHING: Four local non-governmental organisation (NGOs) received face masks worth RM10,000 from the St Joseph’s School Form 5 classes of 1977 and 1978.
According to a media release from Hope Place Kuching, the group managed to raise over RM10,000 to purchase the face masks.
The NGOs that received the masks were Sarawak Children Cancer Society (SCCS), Hope Place Kuching, Sarawak Society for the Blind and Green Ribbon Association Kuching.
The simple presentation ceremony was held at the Eye Specialist Centre here on July1 recently.
Tourism, Arts, and Culture cum Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who is a Josephian himself, was present to hand over the face masks to the respective NGOs.
