TATAU: Four of the seven Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects planned for the Kakus constituency in Selangau district have so far been completed.

Three others were still in various stages of implementation and were expected to be completed soon, said Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Native Laws & Customs), Datuk John Sikie Tayai.

The seven RTP projects included the levelling of the site for Rumah Sawan, Sungai Bawang; upgrading of the front road of Rumah Dom Anak Brok, Sungai Tau; upgrading of Rumah Lunin Road, Sungai Bawang; Rumah Bigat Road, Ulu Arip; levelling of sites for the new Rumah Dicka, Sungai Selangau and Rumah Jentang, Sungai Anak and upgrading of Rumah Charlie Adoh, Ulu Nunok.

Sikie disclosed this after inspecting the progress of the projects here today.

He reminded the contractors involved in implementing the RTP projects to follow strictly the project specifications and contract periods.

Accompanying Sikie were Selangau district officer, Anyie Awing and a representative from the Sibu Division Public Works, Safual Kamil.
