BAU: Four men were apprehended by the district police after they admitted to taking drugs and substances.
An official statement from Bau OCPD DSP Poge Nyaon said a team from the Narcotic Criminal Investigation Division arrested the four men.
The suspects were acting suspiciously while the team was patrolling at Kampung Bidi today.
“At 10 am, the team approached the suspects, who were believed to be involved with drug activities.
“Body searches were conducted on the four men but no evidence of drugs was found. However, they admitted to taking drugs.
“When the suspects, aged 26 to 39, were brought to the district police headquarters for urine tests, they tested positive for drugs,” he said.
Poge added all four suspects had been involved in drug activities for almost a year and that they got their drug supplies from friends.
The case is investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
