PUSA: Students have been encouraged to take full advantage of the free education initiative set to be introduced by the Sarawak government.

Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli said that beginning in 2026, Sarawak-owned higher education institutions will offer free education, reflecting the state’s commitment to improve educational opportunities and support student success.

“Parents play a crucial role in shaping the character of students and ensuring excellent results. This responsibility is not just on school teachers.

“Education is a top priority for every parent, as it can enhance their family’s quality of life if their children succeed,” he said during the SMK Beladin Form 5 Appreciation Ceremony recently.

Shafizan hoped for future collaborations with SMK Beladin teachers to explore strategies aimed at improving educational quality and achieving outstanding student outcomes.
