KUCHING: The first 80 lucky customers will get free Laksa Sarawak from five selected local laksa enterprises at Plaza Merdeka on July 23 at 1pm.
East Malaysia’s number one Malay radio, ERA Sarawak, invites all to grab this unique and iconic Sarawak delicacy in celebrating ‘Hari Laksa Sarawak’.
The iconic Laksa Sarawak is loved not only by the locals but also visitors from outside the country thereby a consideration that the food is unifying entity among the masses.
As part of the celebration, Pagi ERA Sarawak’s personality duo, Afick and Fir Afandi have short-listed five chosen laksa enterprises.
Mom’s Laksa at Jalan Haji Taha; Dewi Laksa Sarawak at Fuyu Café in Satok; Laksa Sarawak Pak Amit Café at Jalan Kulas; Kings Laksa Sarawak in ICOM Square and Waterfront Hotel were chosen for “Best Laksa Sarawak approved by ERA Sarawak” and each received a plaque of appreciation.
In addition, Sarawakians from all walks of life are invited to celebrate ‘Hari Laksa Sarawak’, as well as a chance to meet with Afick and Fir Afandi, Chopie (Muzik Berdepergh ERA); Elya (Petang ERA) and Dhirah Saini (Malam Hype ERA).
Fans can also learn how to cook Laksa Sarawak based on culinary demonstration by chefs from The Waterfront Hotel and they can also play games to win attractive prizes
