SIBU: A total of 68 dogs were vaccinated against rabies during a free campaign organised by the Sibu Division Chinese Community Leader Association (SDCCLA) in cooperation with the Sibu Veterinary Services Department.

The vaccination drive was held at Zheng An Methodist church on Saturday.

In addition to the anti-rabies vaccinations, a service counter was set up simultaneously for senior citizens aged 60 and above to apply for the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) and Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB).

Given the Sarawak government’s numerous health and welfare policies for senior citizens, eligible individuals were encouraged to apply for these benefits as soon as possible, said SDCCLA president Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau Lee Ming in a statement.
