KUALA LUMPUR: Fujifilm (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Fujifilm) expects the X-S20, its soon-to-be-launched camera, to contribute 20 per cent to its electronic imaging segment’s total annual sales.
The X-S20 is set to be launched on June 29, 2023, with a starting price of RM6,888.
Speaking to Bernama, managing director Kensuke Aragane said Fujifilm aims to attract vloggers or amateur videographers with the X-S20.
“They are the target market we are moving to,’’ he said.
He added that the camera offers premium image quality and advanced portability, capable of catering to a variety of shooting styles, from casual self-portraits to fully-fledged photography and videography.
Fanciers will be able to explore the camera’s features for themselves as Fujifilm will hold the ‘touch and try’ nationwide campaign to promote the X-S20 in the Malaysian market.
The X-S20 is the latest addition to Fujifilm’s X Series of mirrorless digital cameras, known for their compact and lightweight body and superior image quality based on the company’s proprietary colour reproduction technology.
According to Aragane, its high-capacity battery allows the X-S20 to take approximately 800 frames and keep operating for an extended duration of time, making it an ideal travel camera. – BERNAMA
