MIRI: More than 500 runners of all ages braved the rain to take part in the Bulatan Park fun run, held in commemoration of the Sarawak Day early yesterday morning here.
There were two categories involved, namely the 5km and 10km distance of the event that was organised by Bulatan Park Runner and was flagged off by Miri mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang who is also Pujut assemblyman.
Yii, when met after the flag off ceremony around 6.15am at Bulatan Park nearby Sabrrkas commercial centre, lauded the efforts by the event’s organiser for initiating the fun run as it helped to encourage healthy living.
