KUCHING: The Sibu Division Health Office is calling for residents who attended a funeral at Rumah Langi, Pasai Siong between Dec 29 and 31 last year to immediately go for Covid-19 screening.
On a Facebook post, it said that the Lanang and Sibu Jaya health clinics are open from 9am to 12pm on Jan 10; and from 8am to 4.30pm from Jan 11 to 15 to conduct screenings.
The public are also urged to immediately go to the nearest health clinic if they experience any symptoms such as flu, cough, fever or sore throat.
On Jan 9, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) reported that 37 locally transmitted cases were recorded in Sibu which involved locals screened through active case detection (ACD) at a longhouse in Pasai, Sibu.
The ACD was conducted after a positive case, Case 1,175 who was directed to quarantine at home, was found to be positive for Covid-19 on Jan 7.
