AMID speculations about singer Fyna Jebat and football coach Zainal Abidin Hassan’s marriage, a relative of Zainal has recently confirmed that the couple have called it quits on their marriage.
According to a media outlet, the source revealed that the marriage ended due to a lack of understanding between Fyna and Zainal Abidin’s first wife, Zalina Zaini.
“What his daughter said is true. They have been divorced in the last two weeks. Both wives were unable to come to an agreement, so they decided to end the marriage,” said the source.
News of the divorce was first revealed by Zainal’s daughter, Zahira Aisyah, in response to a netizen commenting about Fyna and Zalina supposedly working things out.
“Why do you need to post about something that happened four months ago? Also, my mom did not “work things out” with anyone, and this story is not true,” she wrote. “And for your information, my dad has divorced Fyna Jebat. Please delete the post. Thank you.”
Fyna confirmed that she tied the knot with Zainal back in January, sparking controversy as the former footballer was already a married man.
Both parties are still mum about the issue and could not be reached for comments.
