SIBU: M.O Sarawak 12th Gala Night serves as a platform not only to celebrate its anniversary but to promote Pua Kumbu fashion, said Datuk Snowdan Lawan.

In a speech read by Ngemah Assemblyman, Anyi Jana, the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts on Saturday said apart from that it is also a way to maintain the culture and customs of the Dayak community.

Snowdan noted that Dayak entrepreneurs,  especially the youth, were directly involved in making the M.O Sarawak Gala Night a success.

He added that since his involvement with the organisation of the M.O Sarawak Gala Night which started in 2013, the event was usually celebrated on a small scale.

“But tonight, Sarawak’s M.O managed to prove that organising a gala can attract the attention of various walks of life.
