SIBU: A 41-year-old woman was arrested by the police from the D7 unit of the Sibu District Criminal Investigation Division (BSJD) for allegedly conducting gambling credit-reload activity.

Sibu District Police Chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, said the woman was arrested at one of the shops selling CDs at Sibujaya during the Op Dadu operation at 3.10pm on Sunday.

He said the police also seized the Iphone 6plus mobile phone and RM225 cash from the woman. The case is being investigated under Section 4B(a) of the Open House Gambling Act 1953. He added that the police would obtain a gambling expert’s report for the charge.
