KUCHING: Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd will usher the coming Chinese New Year by launching their 33rd Annual Ang Pow Donation campaign next year, starting Jan 9-14.
The six-day campaign, which aims to benefit more than 19,000 needy senior citizens nationwide, is open to needy senior citizens age 60 and above.
Qualified senior citizens from Klang Valley who wish to join the campaign launch are advised to come before 9am and bring along their identity card (IC) for verification purpose.
The launching of the donation campaign will be held at Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, located at Jalan Maharajalela in Kuala Lumpur.
The distribution of items will start from 9am until 10.30am on a first come, first served basis — no representative is allowed to collect the items on behalf of any senior citizen.
Qualified senior citizens from other places are required to register on an earlier date before distribution day.
Sports Toto senior communication manager Giam Say Khoon said that the donation campaign is one of their efforts to give back to society.
“We hope all participants will follow our instructions so we can have a smooth and safe distribution,” he said.
The donation campaign is part of the Helping Hands programme, a corporate social responsibility initiative by Sports Toto to share, give and care for the community.
