KUCHING: Media centres have been set up in all Information Departments nationwide to assist media personnel for this coming 14th General Election (GE14). This was announced by its Deputy Director-General (Management) Datuk Almain Ajirul at a press conference at the state Information Department in Petra Jaya here yesterday.

“The media centre in Sarawak operates from 8am to 10pm daily including weekends and public holidays, and has started its operation since last week (April 27) up until May 10,” he said.

He added the establishment of the media centre was to provide facilities for the media to complete their news as well as to provide the latest information related to GE14 and past elections.

With the launching of the ‘#NgundiLok’ hashtag yesterday, Almain called on the registered voters to come out to vote on the polling day (May 9) . Also present was state Information Department Director Abang Sardon Abang Hashim.
