BAU: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate Lidang Disen arrived at the Bau Civic Centre at 8.20 am to submit his nomination paper to contest in Mas Gading parliamentary seat in the 15th general election (GE15).
He was accompanied by his proposer, Datuk Henry Harry Jinep and seconder, Billy Sujang.
The GPS’ new face has received an overwhelming welcome from party members outside the nomination centre, upon his arrival, with over 1,000 of supporters chanting their support for him.
The second candidate who arrived at the centre was Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) candidate Sim Min Leong.
The 43-year-old businessman and social activist entered the centre with his proposer, John Gorden and seconder, Kenny Royston.
Mas Gading was won by Mordi Bimol (DAP) with a majority of 3,024 votes in a straight fight against BN’s Datuk Anthony Nogeh Gumbek.
