KUCHING: Teams with star status, Boyak Gedong FC and Sambir Bistari FC are the two big names that made it to the third round of the 2022 Gedong Open 9-a-side Football Championship.
They will be playing against their respective opponents this Sunday (March 20).
Boyak Gedong FC will face BB FC, while Sambir Bistari FC will face Putra United FC.
Interestingly, these two teams (Boyak Gedong FC and Sambir Bistari) are lined up with many former players who once represented the Sarawak United and Kuching City FC back-up squads.
Tournament chairman Mohd Nidzam Azhar Ashaari stressed that four third round matches would be taking place on the same day.
Two other matches will see Kejora FT play against X Movent FC while another third round action involves clash involves the winners of two second round matches held in the morning of the same date.
The two second round matches involve a clash between KSRUS FC against Combine FC and between Tradewins Sports FC against Kasen FC.
