KUCHING: Award-winning architect William Khoo Boo Chuan will be sharing an insight into the various aspects of his practices, the people and projects which have brought local-based Design Network Architects (DNA) to the forefront of Malaysian architecture scene.
Khoo, who is the design director of Design Network Architects Sdn Bhd, is responsible for many of the award-winning projects from this local practice.
Originally from Penang, he has been working in Sarawak since 1990 and set up DNA in 2000.
He will be speaking at a lecture to be held at the former Ting and Ting Supermarket at Jalan Tabuan here on Oct 26. He will be joined by another local architect, Voon Choon Hin from Arkitek KDI Sdn Bhd, who is responsible for several well-known buildings in Sarawak including Menara Rimbunan Hijau and the New Sarawak Museum.
The lecture is part of the initiative of PAMSC (Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Sarawak Chapter) to raise design awareness and to showcase local design talents.
It is organised as part of the WAK (What About Kuching) celebrations with generous sponsorship from Nippon Paint (M) Sdn Bhd. Entrance to the event is free of charge to everyone.
