BALINGIAN: A Traditional Sports Explore Race was held to commemorate the traditional games of the older generation and provide an opportunity for the younger generation to experience the fun and uniqueness of these games.
The programme, in conjunction with the Balingian Bederun Festival 2024, was officiated by the Melanau Balingian Generation Association (PGMB) president Hafizzul Abdul Halim at the Balingian Bederun Festival site on Saturday (Sept 20).
A total of 14 teams participated in the race.
Hafizzul congratulated the participants and the event committee for organising the programme.
“May these traditional games always be remembered by society and become fond memories in the future,” he said.
Also present were special officer of the Balingian Service Centre and deputy president of PGMB Che Ghazali Arbi.
